There are 3 ways to display artwork on clothing: 1) silk-screening, 2) patches, and 3) embroidery.

While silk-screening can produce an accurate image, its appearance and colors diminish each time you wash and wear the garment. Patches are a step up. But their edges are known to curl and separate from the garment, while damaging the material underneath.
